Be swept away in a whirlwind of entertainment with Sailor Circus Academy’s 2014 Holiday Performance, “The Enchanted Wand.” Audiences will journey into the fantastical and captivating production uniting the whimsical land of fantasy and the incredible world of circus artistry.The production includes more than one hundred students, in 21 breathtaking acts, to deliver a heartfelt message of inspiration like no other.The one-of-kind fantasy comes to life from Saturday, December 27th through Tuesday, December 30th, and radiates all the splendor of the holiday season.
The original production spins the tale of an enchanted wand – gifted by a Fairy Queen to three children in need of guidance – that harnesses great power and releases full potential if the children work together. Spectators of all ages will be awe-struck as America’s most highly-acclaimed youth circus weaves astounding entertainment within a thrilling odyssey of magical lands and mystical creatures.The incredibly talented student-performers entertain with unicycle, acrobatics, juggling, tightrope, the flying trapeze and much, much more. From tasty hot chocolate, buttery popcorn and fresh-spun cotton candy, to an incredible display of magnificent circus arts, this holiday performance will be nothing short of enchanting. It is high-quality, family-friendly entertainment that will warm the heart of both young and old.
Made up of area students from 4th to 12th grades, the Sailor Circus Academy has delighted over 2 million spectators in its 66-year history. The Sailor Circus Academy 2014 Holiday Performance – “The Enchanted Wand,” runs for four magic-filled days at Sailor Circus Arena, located at 2075 Bahia Vista Street, Sarasota. Shows are 2 and 7 P.M. on Saturday, December 27th and Sunday, December 28th; at 7 P.M. on Monday, December 29th; and at 2 and 7 P.M. on Tuesday, December 30th.
