CELEBRATE THE CRAFT OF COCKTAILS, MUSIC AND ART AT THE RENOWNED HIVE POP-UP LOUNGE

Miami, FL – Nov. 10, 2016— After attracting more than 80,000 guests in 2015, the largest party in Wynwood returns once again for an even bigger and better series of all things art and culture. HIVE pop-up lounge will transform into a can’t-miss art utopia that will feed your soul, quench your thirst and satisfy your palate. The massive five-day celebration begins November 30th to December 4th.

Miamians know the best place to unleash their inner artist, which is why tens of thousands of guests swarm to HIVE each year to experience the variety of installations it has to offer. Walk through the Sculpture Garden Lounge, featuring eclectic sculptures and the largest, most creative outdoor art installations in Wynwood. With live programming, guests can experience artists bringing their pieces to life from start to finish. You never know what they may come up with; when it comes to art at HIVE, anything goes.

“HIVE is more than art installations and cool activations,” said Tony Albelo, CEO of SWARM. “It’s a place where the community and Basel goers can come together and appreciate the different cultures within Miami.”

Select spirit sponsors present Behind the Bar Series, a lively lounge and extensive cocktail bar that won’t let you go thirsty. This area will feature live demonstrations from Miami’s highly esteemed mixologists who will show you how to prepare delicious boozy creations in your own home. Guests will also be able to preview crafty concoctions by Miami’s most anticipated bar, Bitter Truth, with an exclusive pop-up cocktail menu. For non-alcoholic beverages head to the Nspire activation, sponsored by Pepsi for refreshing F!ZZ mocktails.

Want to know which mixologist is the best in Miami? Attend the Art of Craft mixology competition on Sunday, December 4th. Bartenders from Miami’s best-known bars will be challenged to create the most delicious, unique, and visually appealing cocktail. These famous cocktail bars and their mixologists include Nicholas Mantzaridis from Beaker & Gray, Roberto Calderon from Finka Table + Tap, Eleftherios “Lef” Kraounakis from Copper 29, Leo Holtzman from SoCal Cantina, Brian Canales from Bitter Truth, and Bill Thompson from The Local. This is a line-up you aren’t going to want to miss.

“Mixology is a form of art” said SWARM president, Javi Zayas. “And we wanted to highlight and give recognition to the talented artists behind the bar.”

The newest installment at HIVE for 2016 features “Infinity Plaza”, a pop-up skate park for all active art-goers created and curated by world-renowned artist Andrew Schoultz. Skating obstacles will be transformed into their own individual art pieces painted by Andrew himself. This creates an unforgettable skating experience. Shred the skate park’s ramps, rails, and platforms, but don’t forget it’s BYOS – Bring Your Own Skateboard!

Everything you encounter at HIVE will be experienced with live music to keep the lounge vibe going strong with Miami’s renowned DJs spinning the best beats all day and night.

HIVE will be held at MANA Wynwood at 2250 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127. The schedule is as follows: Nov. 30th Dec. 4th, 2016, Wed. Nov 30th: 4pm- 1am, Thurs. Dec. 1: 4pm – 3am, Fri. Dec 2: 3pm – 3am, Sat. Dec 3: noon – 3am, Sun. Dec 4: noon – 9pm. For more information visit: www.hivewynwood.com
