Sarasota, Fla. – (March 25, 2015) – Cat Depot is pleased to announce it is the recipient of several grants with funding for spay/neuter for free-roaming cats, as well as personal cats, in zip codes 34232, 34234 and 34237. Free spay/neuter includes Rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, and a microchip – a $250.00 value. To schedule an appointment, please call Cat Depot’s Cat Care Clinic at (941) 366-2404.

“It’s kitten season and there is no better time to spay or neuter your personal pet, free-roaming neighborhood cat, or mama cat and kittens,” said Shelley Thayer, executive director. “Even a cat who lives indoors may escape and produce kittens, if not sterilized. Every year, millions of homeless cats are tragically euthanized. You can increase the live release rate and give cats a chance to grow old by sterilizing your pet and neighborhood strays. Please call us to learn how.”

Cat Depot, a nonprofit, 501(c)3 no-kill, free-roaming facility, offers a monthly Community Cat Program that distributes a minimum of 1,500 lbs of dry food and 300 cans of wet food to income qualified pet owners and registered colony cat care givers. Humane traps and training are also available on loan, seven days a week. To learn more, call 941.366.2404 and ask for Cody.
