The MuseBox today announced the digital release of Hello Sweet Goodbye, the new single from Hollywoods favorite romance rockers, Lady Low. Music blog Endless Sound recently raved that Lady Low knock my socks off, and they seem to have an absolutely promising run in front of them. Featuring Rachel Maxann on lead vocals, Hello Sweet Goodbye is the latest tune from Lady Low. More information on Lady Low is available on the bands official website.
Described as where strings and heartstrings collide, Lady Low is a rock quintet comprised of Jimmy Sweet (vocals, guitar), Rachel Maxann (vocals, synth), Eden Lee (vocals, drums), Kaitlin Wolfberg (violin), and Mia Siler (violin). Sweet had always wanted to start a band that combined loves passion and old school rock and roll. After returning to L.A. by way of London, he formed Lady Low. Maxann found her way to the City of Angels after growing restless in the Big Easy. She brought aboard her old friend Lee, and after enlisting the help of local string talents Wolfberg and Blumenfield, the worlds first romance rock group was born.
Lady Low is not the first musical expedition for these romance rock pioneers. Jimmy has been rocking for years, starting out with legendary San Francisco rock band, The Richmond Sluts. He still performs with the Goodtime Boys, a 70s cover band, along with members of Hot Hot Heat, Fleet Foxes, The Heavy, and Beachwood Sparks.
The romance side of Lady Lows signature sound comes from the strings, for which Wolfberg and Mia are responsible. She writes the string arrangements, and also plays viola, and keyboard in addition to violin. She has worked with indie legends The Bats and The DBs, and has played with heavy hitters such as Dweezil Zappa and Ruthann Friedman. After earning a degree in classical violin at Humboldt State University, Mia has gone on to play with singer-songwriter Rozzi Crane and contribute to the Faerie Archives with High Priestess Productions.
