Strings released his second full-length studio album HOME in September of 2019 via Rounder Records.
Associated Press says “Billy Strings can do it all” and the Nashville Scene called Strings a “topflight ’grasser and rocker” while Rolling Stone praised Strings saying, “to some, the 27-year-old represents a breakaway from traditional acoustic music. But with his fresh, exploratory approach to bluegrass, folk, and country, he also symbolizes the evolution of the genre.”
But it’s the live show experience that has been the secret sauce for Billy Strings and his band.
As Saving Country Music noted in a recent feature, “Billy Strings is arguably best musician you will witness live in our generation, with no hyperbole peppering that proclamation, or any of the others previous.”
Strings’ music transcends tradition and genre and he is reshaping bluegrass into his own exceptional form. He is completely rewiring the aesthetic with elements of punk, country, folk-rock, and genuine psychedelic exploration to fashion something altogether original and all his own.
