Bijou Cafe offers special price

Award-winning restaurant The Bijou Cafe (1287 First St., 366-8111) will extend their prix fixe “Savor Sarasota” menu through the end of the summer. The special includes two courses for $15 at lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday as well as three courses for $29 at dinner, beginning at 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

“Savor Sarasota is so popular that we’ve decided to run it all Summer!” said JP Knaggs, owner of the Bijou Cafe. “As a special thank you to our year-round guests, and an invitation to summer visitors, we’re continuing a prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner.”

The menu will change every two weeks, and will include both Bijou favorites and one-time special creations from the chef. These will be posted on the Bijou’s website as soon as the chef makes them available. Reservations are always recommended but not required, and though substitutions are not available on the special menu, the Bijou’s kitchen will accommodate dietary restrictions as needed.

The Savor Sarasota menu extension marks another recent change at the Bijou including the addition of a new “bar bites” menu and the introduction of their first ever happy hour in the Gossips Lounge, including signature Bijou martinis for $5, from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
