Cancer is a complex and difficult disease that claims millions of lives each year.
At Weizmann, we have made cancer research a priority for more than 50 years. Thanks to the support of friends like you, this important research has led to a number of live-saving discoveries, including groundbreaking treatments for leukemia, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and head and neck cancer.
And we continue to make progress every single day. Right now, Weizmann scientists are studying a cancer-causing gene that could actually block cancer cells at later stages. Another research team is working on a DNA test that could reveal a person’s odds of developing lung cancer.
Our research gets us closer to better treatments every day – but we can’t do this without funding for our scientists.
Soon, with the new Integrated Cancer Center (ICC), we will tackle one of the biggest challenges in cancer research: bringing scientists and physicians together to create better, more personalized treatments for cancer.
