Amarillo Symphony October Concert to Feature The Metropolitan Ballroom Dancers

AMARILLO, TEXAS – (October 8, 2015) – The Amarillo Symphony, (www.amarillosymphony.org), leader of orchestral music in the Texas Panhandle since 1924, announces the first Premium Pops concert of the season: Favorite Classics: THE BLUE DANUBE & MORE!, October 16 and 17 featuring The Metropolitan Ballroom Dancers.

The Metropolitan Ballroom Dancers team up with music director and conductor, Jacomo Rafael Bairos and the Amarillo Symphony in this high-energy concert featuring the waltz, rumba, tango and more. Jacomo Rafael Bairos displays his command of Latin Music that will have you re-thinking your definition of “A Night at the Symphony.”

“Our new and exciting Premium Pops series begins with a special collaboration featuring the talented Metropolitan Dancers of Charlotte. While the orchestra performs some of the greatest waltz’s, tangos’ and dances by composers such as Strauss Jr., Bizet and Cuban master Lecuona the Metropolitan Dancers will dazzle you with their unique choreography specially crafted for this exclusive performance,” said Jacomo Rafael Bairos, Music Director and Conductor. “These award winning dancers along with your Amarillo Symphony will perform some of the most treasured dance music that will create a magical evening of style, pomp, and pageantry.
