Leading Through Laughter: How Humor in the Workplace Isn’t a Laughing Matter at Sarasota Chamber’s 102nd Annual Meeting
SARASOTA, Fla. (September 15, 2022) — The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce will host its 102nd Annual Membership Meeting, presented by Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, on Friday, October 21st from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. The Chamber will delve into humor in the workplace as an important leadership tool with keynote speaker, Dr. Kerry Szymanski. Her presentation, “Leading Through Laughter,” explores the value of humor in the workplace as a leadership skill to motivate a team to excellence. The ability to use humor in the workplace is as important as it is on stage, bouncing back from difficult situations and reducing employee stress and burnout.
The event will also include the introduction of the 2022-2023 Chair of the Board, Emily Walsh, President of Observer Media Group, and the recognition of the Annual Chair’s Cup Award, presented by Kerkering, Barberio & Co.
