The Island Players, Manatee County’s oldest community theatre, located at 10009 Gulf Drive, Anna Maria, is pleased to present, “Lettice & Lovage”, by Peter Shaffer. The play runs from March 24 – April 10, 2016.

Performances are Tuesday – Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $20 each. The Box Office opens on Monday, March 14 and is open from 9-1 on Mondays – Saturdays. On performance nights, the Box Office opens at 7 pm and for Sunday Matinees, it opens at 1 pm. Visa, MasterCard or Discover are accepted.

Lettice Douffet is a flamboyant tour guide who embellishes the legend surrounding an English country house. However, a fact-loving official is not amused by Lettice’s freewheeling history lessons. This hysterical show is directed by Mike Lusk and Co-Produced by The Off-Stage Ladies.

The cast consists of: Caroline Cox as Letttice Douffet, Judi King as Lottie Schoen, Heiko Knipfelberg as Mr. Bardolph, Susan Belvo as Miss Framer, Bruce Witton as Surly Man Mike and Judy Keenan, Jalex Scott, Daniel Coppinger, Brad French and Bruce Witton as The Visitors.

Auditions for our next play, “Boeing Boeing”, by Marc Camoletti and directed by Kelly Wynn Woodland, will be held at the theatre on Sunday, April 3 at 7:30 pm.
