NYC MAYOR’S OFFICE OF MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT CONGRATULATES THE “MADE IN NY” 2021 PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS WINNERS

21 Emmys Awarded to NYC Productions

 

NEW YORK – The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment congratulates the NYC productions that received 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards. In total, 8 “Made in NY” productions took home 21 awards at the 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 19.

Saturday Night Live was the biggest “Made in NY” Primetime Emmy awards winner, with 8 wins, followed by Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and Pose, each of which won 3 awards. David Byrne’s American Utopia and Hamilton took home two awards each, while The Flight Attendant, Halston and Stephen Colbert’s Election Night 2020 each received one Emmy award.

NYC’s film and television industry has continued to produce thought-provoking, moving and relevant content, despite the challenging year we have all faced,” said the Commissioner of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, Anne del Castillo.
