The 39th annual Cabbagetown Festival will highlight live outdoor music and entertainment on Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13. The festival officially begins Saturday at 11 a.m. with a special Opening Ceremony to follow at 2 p.m. outside the TD bank (on the northeast corner of Parliament Street and Carlton Street) and will remain open until 10 p.m. The fun continues Sunday at 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.  Check http://www.cabbagetownto.com for full details and other community events.

Over the two days, the streets will close down to showcase what the community has to offer. This year’s line-up of musical performers will include the sounds of jazz, R&B, funk, Big Band and Latin music. With over 30 bands performing at 13 participating venues along Parliament Street, the weekend promises to bring an eclectic mix of artists sure to satisfy everyone’s musical tastes.
