The Golden Trailer Awards were launched in 1999 by Evelyn Watters and Monica Brady as a way to recognize the best of the best in worldwide motion picture and television marketing. The event has become one of the most anticipated award shows of the year.
“The Golden Trailer Awards recognizes the best and brightest in the fascinating world of movie trailers.  The media and marketing landscape for motion pictures in today’s digital world has become incredibly complex, yet trailers remain the single most important tool to open a movie, as they have since the 1960s when trailers first emerged as an art form,” said GTA Founder Evelyn Watters.  “One night per year, the tireless efforts and innovations of the artists who cut these two minutes of movie magic are recognized for their craft.  We couldn’t prouder of tonight’s nominees and winners.”
Added executive producer Monica Brady, “’The show and Wayne Brady were such high energy and so fun… and so short, it was like a great trailer and the audience was left wanting more’.”
