“Weight” – A Comedy About A Heavy Subject
Based on an actual event, “Weight” is an inspirational film that uses comedy to relay it’s message to the audience.
“Weight” has been described as a modern day John Candy movie, if he decided to lose weight and get healthy.
With a similar tone to Judd Apatow films as “40 -Year-Old-Virgin” or “Knocked Up”, the film is a story about a 27 year old , named Ben, played by New Comer, Zackery Byrd, who can’t seem to take his health seriously until a series of events gets him motivated.

Rob Margolies, who also wrote the script said he was inspired by his own journey to lose weight. “I was 210 lbs. and needed to do something about it. I had never been overweight before, but now I understand what others go through. I made a plan, worked out hard and in seven months, I lost 60 lbs, dropping down to 150lbs.
“In conjunction with the film, we are making a documentary about our lead actor, Zackery Byrd”, states Producer,Carly Sadolf. “We decided to capture his struggles with his weight starting at 300lbs, and how he is working on losing weight, (healthfully) during the course of making this film.
