west coast WOMAN e-newsletter 7/16
Dear WCW Reader,
LB
Louise Bruderle
I LOVE the fact this glamorous, beautiful shot of Veronica Brandon Miller that you see here and in print on our cover was done quite efficiently by shooting at the Goodwill Campus on North 301.
That beautiful blue in the background is a version of “Goodwill blue” and, according to Veronica, the outfit was purchased at Goodwill at a VERY reasonable price (you’ll have to ask her for the precise $). And when I and WCW

Veronica Brandon Miller

photographer Evelyn England arrived we received the grand tour of the store and Goodwill’s corporate offices. One word: impressive.
I’ve always found their stores

to be friendly places – my closest store is North US41 in Sarasota – but they have really good stuff and it’s displayed so beautifully.
Best of all, the money raised
stays in our community. In
2015, Goodwill Manasota served 22,739 people, placed 961 people in jobs and assisted 358 veterans as they reintegrated back into the civilian workforce.
Goodwill Manasota’s economic impact back to the community is worth $81.3 million. Goodwill is one of the pioneers of the reduce-reuse-recycle movement and this past year diverted 41 million pounds out of the landfill. For more information, visit www.experiencegoodwill.org.
