Still unsure who to vote for this election season, concerned about Detroit’s turnaround or Michigan’s economic outlook? Detroit Public Television (DPTV) in partnership with The Detroit News and The Detroit Free Press will co-host a Town Hall Forum featuring Republican Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Democrat Congressman Mark Schauer face-to-face on the campus of Wayne State University in Detroit starting at 6 p.m. tonight.
The Town Hall Forum will be broadcast live on DPTV as well as several major news outlets in town. It will include an audience of uncommitted voters, who will get the opportunity to ask questions of the two candidates, along with Detroit Free Press Editorial Page Editor Stephen Henderson and Detroit News Editorial Page Editor Nolan Finley. Detroit Public TV Anchor Christy McDonald will serve as the event’s host.
No matter what your issues of concerns are: education, taxes, or roads, this is your opportunity to listen live to what these candidates have to say, so you can make an informed decision come November 4. Don’t miss it.
If you’re unable to tune in live, you will get the opportunity to view the broadcast later on tonight at www.mivote.org
