Visit Sarasota County Employees Appointed to VISIT FLORIDA Committees
SARASOTA, FL – (June 11, 2015)– VISIT FLORIDA, the Official Tourism Marketing Corporation for the State of Florida, recently announced the names of those selected to serve on VISIT FLORIDA committees in the upcoming year. Four Visit Sarasota County (VSC) staff members have been chosen by VISIT FLORIDA to serve on these committees that shape the programming for VISIT FLORIDA to market the State of Florida as a travel and tourism destination.
VSC staff members and their appointments are as follows:
- Virginia Haley, President was appointed to serve on the Visit Florida Board of Directors for the second year.
- Erin Duggan, Director of Brand, was appointed to the Advertising and Internet Committee.
- Kelly Defebo, Director of Sales, was appointed to the International Sales Committee.
- Lynn Hobeck Bates, Public Relations Manager, was appointed to the Communications Committee.
The term for these VISIT FLORIDA Committees, is effective July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2016. Visit Sarasota County leads and supports the tourism industry in Sarasota County by providing the highest quality, and most innovative, marketing programs and promotions to ensure the continued growth of tourism and travel from visitors around the world.
