VISIT SARASOTA COUNTY ANNOUNCES FY2017 BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Sarasota, Florida – (September 19, 2016) Visit Sarasota County (VSC) elected new board of Directors for the upcoming 2017 fiscal year at the Board of Directors annual meeting held last week held at the VSC Administrative Offices. The Fiscal Year term will begin on October 1, 2016 and end on September 30, 2017.
The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors is comprised of the following individuals: Chair, Drayton Saunders, President, Michael Saunders and Company; Vice Chair, Pete Norden, General Manager iHeart Media Radio; and Secretary/Treasurer, Steven High, Executive Director The Ringling. Michael Klauber, Proprietor of Michael’s on East is the Immediate Past Chair.
Returning general members of the VSC Board are: Christine Johnson, President, Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast; Hon. Alan Maio, County Commissioner, Sarasota County Commission; Dr. Jennifer Shafer, Science and Environmental Council of Sarasota County; Kelly Dowd, President, KD Logistics, Inc.; and Bruce McDonald, General Manager, Hyatt Regency Sarasota. New appointments to the Board are Russel Russell Matthes, Owner Daiquiri Deck Raw Bar; Nik Mavrikas, General Manager of Comfort Suites Sarasota; Jill Luke, Manager of Patriot Self Storage in North Florida, and Heather Kasten, Executive Director of the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance.
