VERUCA SALT RELEASES VINYL RE-ISSUE OF DEBUT ALBUM AMERICAN THIGHS
TODAY
VIA MINTY FRESH RECORDS
Veruca Salt – original members Nina Gordon (guitar/vocals), Louise Post (guitar/vocals), Steve Lack (bass), and Jim Shapiro (drums) – are proud to release the vinyl re-issue of their seminal debut album, American Thighs, which was originally put out twenty years ago in 1994. The re-issue will come out on the band’s original label, Minty Fresh Records. PRESS HERE to purchase it.
To celebrate this re-issue, the band has reached into their archives to put together teaser videos made up of never-seen-before footage from Veruca Salt’s first tours across the world in 1994 and 1995. PRESS HERE to watch them, and trust us when we tell you – they will make you incredibly happy.
The vinyl re-issue of American Thighs is the latest news to come from Veruca Salt’s original lineup, who announced their reconciliation and reformation earlier this year. This spring saw the band release their first new songs in fourteen years – “The Museum of Broken Relationships” and “It’s Holy,” followed by a blistering performance of American Thighs’ classic single “Seether” on Conan, and a sold out tour across the U.S. and Australia. With more new music from the foursome on the way, the vinyl re-issue of American Thighs seemed, to the band, to be the perfect way to mark all the good things that started them off, while looking ahead to all the good things to come…
