Venice Theatre continues special events in March & April
Tributes to Jimmy Stewart, Frankie Valli, Buddy Holly and more!
(Venice, FL) Venice Theatre continues its 2013-2014 Concert and Special Events Series with national acts such as the one-and-only Rich Little (in his tribute to Jimmy Stewart) and local talent like the theatre’s own Silver Foxes. Mr. Little performs “Jimmy Stewart and Friends” on Sunday, March 2 at 8 p.m. and Monday, March 3 at 3 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $49.
The following week features the Frankie Valli tribute act, “Let’s Hang On” Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. and Monday, March 10 at 3 and 8 p.m. The high-energy, rock n’ roll extravaganza “Rave On” starring America’s premier Buddy Holly interpreter (Billy McGuigan)
is March 16 at 8 p.m. and March 17 at 3 and 8 p.m. Seats for these two shows are $32.
VT’s senior performance troupe, the Silver Foxes, takes the stage for its annual show March 19 – 23, 2014. Under the new direction of Brad Wages, fans of the foxes will be in for a surprise with an updated and re-energized production. The ticket price has stayed the same at $24. March closes with Patti Highland’s annual classic country concert on March 23, 2014. This intimate evening in the Pinkerton Theatre costs just $15.
The series closes out in April with “Monday, Monday” (a tribute to The Mamas and the Papas) on April 6 and 7 and “The Baby Boomer Comedy Show” on April 13 and 14. Subscriptions are also on sale for the theatre’s 2014-2015 season. Venice Theatre is located at 140 West Tampa Avenue on the island in Venice. Box office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; and one hour before show time.
