ONE-OF-A-KIND CAPTIVATING FILM EVENT

SpectiCast Together with Fathom Events Bring ‘Vatican Museums 3D,’ in Collaboration with Vatican Museums Directorate, to Theaters on December 10th

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 17, 2014) – SpectiCast, the fastest growing event cinema marketing and distribution company in the world has partnered with Fathom Events, one of the leading alternative cinema event providers, to distribute SKY Productions’ Vatican Museums 3D.  The film marks the first time Ultra HD 4K/3D film cameras have been allowed inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel where some of the world’s rarest and most precious works reside.  In partnership with Fathom Events, this special film event comes to theaters everywhere beginning December 10th and will be shown in 2D and RealD 3D.  Additional shows will be in select theaters December 11th and December 14th.

Tickets for the presentation of Vatican Museums 3D are available at participating theater box offices and online at www.SpectiCast.com/titles/the-vatican-museums-3d and www.FathomEvents.com.  The event will be presented in more than 500 select movie theaters around the country through Fathom Event’s Digital Broadcast Network and the SpectiCast Network. (Theaters and participants are subject to change.)

A team of 40 professionals employed the same cutting-edge 3D cinematic techniques used by filmmakers in many of Hollywood’s most technologically advanced movies to capture this mega production.  Audiences will be able to admire paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh along with sculptures by Michelangelo as well as many other works. In addition to the feature film, theatergoers will be treated to an exclusive 22 minutes of insightful “behind the scenes” extra features as The Vatican Museums’ Director, Professor Antonio Paolucci and the film’s director, Marco Pianigiani, recall both the challenges and the triumphs involved in the making of this masterpiece about masterpieces.

In this exceptional film, art shows itself to be a sublime means for making the tie between artist and a variety of faiths, from the Christianity of Giotto to the Judaism of Marc Chagall, and that of tormented Salvador Dalì and highly refined Raffaello, all in a journey that includes some of the most powerful works ever produced by man.

SpectiCast Co-founder and President Mark Rupp stated, “We are excited to bring audiences on a mesmerizing adventure in Vatican Museums 3D.  The technology used in the filming of this content is unlike any other brought to the big screen.”

“Fathom Events brings a large and discerning audience in the U.S. the best and most interesting of alternative programming, and Vatican Museums 3D is a perfect example of that,” Fathom Events CEO John Rubey said. “Working with SpectiCast, we’re able to bring this unmatchable collection to a national audience, employing the most advanced production and projection equipment. It’s a true event!”
