Upcoming Tryouts for Winter Sports at Anna Maria Island Community Center
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for flag football and volleyball tryouts for the winter sports season!
First on the lineup is Youth Coed Flag Football tryouts on Monday, Dec. 1 for 5-7 year olds at 6 p.m., followed by 11-13 year olds at 7:30 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 5 the 8-10 year olds will try out at 6 p.m. and the14-17 year olds at 8 p.m. Registration fee includes a team jersey and is $75 for youth members and $105 for non-members. To avoid a late fee please register by Nov. 25. Games will be played on the AMICC fields on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning in January 2015.
Adult Coed Flag Football tryouts will take place on Monday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. Registration fee includes a team jersey and is $75 for members and $110 for non-members. To avoid a late fee please register before Dec. 2. Games will be played mostly on Wednesdays for the 18 and up league and Thursdays for the 30 and up league beginning in January 2015.
The Adult Coed Volleyball tryout date is Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. Registration fee includes a team jersey and is $75 for members and $110 for non-members. To avoid a late fee please register by Nov. 29. Games will be played on Tuesday evenings in the Community Center gym beginning in January 2015.
Tryouts for all sports are mandatory and teams are chosen immediately afterward. Sign up for both adult sports and receive a $25 discount.
An annual adult sports membership is $80 and includes full use of the fitness room.Youth membership for 3-11 year olds is $40 a year and includes member prices on classes, sports, childcare, camps and youth events. Membership for youth ages 12-17 is $60 a year and includes all of that PLUS supervised use of the fitness center and open gym/social time.
