In celebration of President’s Day, and this week’s release of KILLING KENNEDY on Blu-ray and DVD, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment brought together more than 600 teachers and students from John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, Calif. for a 50-minute educational screening of special features from National Geographic’s KILLING KENNEDY Blu-ray followed by a Kennedy-themed academic decathlon team debate. The debate took place on on February 11 to commemorate the film’s release on home entertainment.

 
Principal Suzanne Blake and debate coach Dr. Scott Petri led the conversation with special talking points developed by KILLING KENNEDY screenwriter Kelly Masterson specifically for the JFKHS event.  Topics touched on the Bay of Pigs, women in politics, Jackie O, Bobby Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis. After all ten members of the debate team delivered their respective speeches, two debate winners were announced and received a free copy of KILLING KENNEDY on Blu-ray.

KILLING KENNEDY stars Rob Lowe, Ginnfer Goodwin, Michelle Trachtenberg and Will Rothhaar. The film is available now on Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. For his role as President Kennedy in KILLING KENNEDY, Lowe received a SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie.
