Fameless – “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” – Wednesday, August 5, at 10:30 pm ET/PT
From the mischievous mind of David Spade comes Fameless – a genre-busting prank show that features an unsuspecting group of wannabe stars who think they have been cast on an actual reality show – and they have. Each week, our hilarious team of improv actors takes on a new challenge – from game show host to survival show contender to a home makeover expert – and creates sketches that parody the genre. But there’s a twist…one of the contestants is real. Half sketch show/half prank show this new comedy will take a light-hearted look at how far people will go to be famous. Guest stars this season include Michael Bolton, Gina Gershon, Ben Silverman, Brian Malarkey, Chris Hansen and Kat Von D.
In tonight’s episode, a wannabe producer’s pitch gets slammed by a star-studded Hollywood panel, a rookie host brings life-changing news to the wrong family and the tables are turned on a prankster when he realizes that he’s the one being played.

Friends of the People – Thursday, August 6, at 10:30p.m. (ET/PT)
truTV’s first ever sketch comedy series Friends of the People returns for another round of rapid-fire riffs, spot-on parody, and over-the-top characters. The often edgy and irreverent series returns with a whole new collection of topical, political and pop culture-flavored sketches, including “The Dark McKnight” featuring R&B star Brian McKnight, “Game Show Heist” with former Cash Cab host Ben Bailey, and more nostalgic ’90s send-ups, including an appearance by former Double Dare host Marc Summers as well as new iterations of last season’s favorite sketches including “Lucas Brothering the Movies.”
Conceived by the comic minds of Kevin Barnett, Jennifer Bartels, Jermaine Fowler, Lil Rel Howery, The Lucas Bros., and Josh Rabinowitz this season will also feature guest appearances from David Alan Grier, Jim Norton, Rachel Dratch, Ellen Cleghorne, Ed Lover, Doug E. Doug, Jay Bromley, Mick Foley, and many more, along with man-on-the-street segments taped in NYC.
On tonight’s episode, FOTP keeps the laughs coming with sketches that include a product pitchman with poor pronunciation, a crime scene cover-up that gets squirrely, and the return of Mr. Huffton, who brings his unique teachings to water safety. Plus, the cast tags in professional wrestlers Jake the Snake, Mick Foley, and X-Pac for some high impact back-up.
