Tom Odell has recorded a brand new version of John Lennon’s “Real Love” which accompanies the John Lewis Christmas 2014 ad campaign.
Originally written by John Lennon in 1979, and recorded and released by the three surviving Beatles in 1996, “Real Love” is the last record of new material to be released by the band. This stirring new take of the classic track is available to download now on iTunes or listen on Spotify.

Singer-songwriter Tom Odell, 23, won the Brits Critics’ Choice Award in 2013. His debut album Long Way Down subsequently went to number 1 in the UK and top ten across Europe. Over the last year, he has toured extensively across the world from the US to Australia selling over a million records in the process, and serving as the opener for Billy Joel on several US dates. He was nominated for two more Brit awards this year for Best Male and Best Newcomer and won the 2014 Ivor Novello Songwriter of the Year Award. Tom is currently in the studio recording his new album.
