(Venice, FL) Venice Theatre continues its popular concerts series in March with three mainstays. The Diamonds, “Let’s Hang On” and The Kingston Trio have each played Venice Theatre’s MainStage many times and are excited to return this season. Venice Theatre’s Producing Director Allan Kollar has had success with acts that play music from the ’70s, but he knows that music from the ’60s still packs a punch with local audiences. “We’ve been bringing The Kingston Trio back each year for over a decade. Audiences have come to expect the tradition. The Diamonds and “Let’s Hang On” are favorites, too.
The Diamonds take the stage March 5 at 8 p.m. and March 6 at 3 and 8 p.m. Best known for their hit “Little Darlin’”, the Diamonds offer tight harmonies, humor, lively choreography and fantastic instrumentals. Their blast-from-the-past celebration also features ‘60s hits like “Why Do Fools Fall in Love,” “The Stroll” and “Silhouettes.” All seats are $42.
“Let’s Hang On,” the area’s hottest Frankie Valli tribute show, is back by popular demand March 12 at 8 p.m. and March 13 at 3 and 8 p.m. Audiences are invited to re-live more memorable songs of the ‘60s with “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Walk Like a Man”, and more. A cast of ten seasoned performers delivers great harmonies, lively choreography and some of the biggest hits of the era. Tickets are $42.
The Kingston Trio appear March 19 through 21 at 8 p.m. each evening. These Grammy winning legends of folk music always provide a wonderful trip through a musical genre that is adored by millions. Audiences can expect the trio’s trademark beautiful harmonies, simple-yet-meaningful songs, and top-notch musicianship. Tickets are $54.
