The U.S. Premiere of Taking Shakespeare by John Murrell is playing for one final week in the Gompertz Theatre. Don’t miss your chance to see the show that the Venice Gondolier says is a “Powerful evening of theater.”
Who appreciates Shakespeare anymore? Murph sure doesn’t, and seeks out an older Shakespeare scholar, to bring the Bard’s words to life. This enchanting, eccentric journey creates a beautiful dichotomy between Shakespeare’s verse and today’s language. Is it possible for this avid video-game lover to love Shakespeare?

The Totalitarians by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb
This high-energy farce exposes just how vacuous and absurd our political language has become.
This class started with a script and character analysis which was directly aimed at building an ensemble performance. The class met to stage and rehearse the play and were guided by a professional director.
