Call for Plays for the Fourth Annual Student Ten-Minute Playwriting Festival |
Theatre Odyssey is calling for student play submissions for the Fourth Annual Student Ten-Minute Playwriting Festival. Original ten-minute play submissions can now be made by students who wish to enter the 2016 festival. The festival will be held January 15 and 16, 2016 at the Howard Studio Theatre at the State College of Florida. There is a first place prize of $500 and a second place prize of $300. The deadline for submissions is October 31, 2015. Last year the winner, “As Long as the Moon Shines” by Julien Freij from St. Stephen’s Episcopal school was also presented at Theatre Odyssey’s Tenth Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival in May, 2015. NEW! Student Playwriting Seminar Theatre Odyssey is now offering a seminar on October 3, for high school students interested in submitting their plays to this year’s festival. Seating is limited to the first 10 students to register. |

Founded in 2006, the company provides a nurturing environment to encourage, inspire, and challenge local playwrights and actors.
