Los Angeles, CA – July 8, 2015 – The Wyldz have debuted the official music video for the single “Let It Go” from their new album Interstellar Troubadours. View it now online at YouTube. A heavy hitting three-piece rock band based in Austin, The Wyldz collaborated with legendary engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana, The Pixies, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page) at the famed Electrical Audio studio in Chicago to record the entire 12-track Interstellar Troubadours album in just six days, completely analog. In support of the album the band recently added 20+ new dates to their U.S. summer tour. Described as “the most raw song on the album,” the band hopes the message and video for “Let It Go” inspire people to keep faith and pursue their own creation of themselves. “We wrote ‘Let It Go’ in two hours during a session one day,” says guitarist Alex Dhée. “I remember the next afternoon, it was cold as hell, and we felt we just had to record it. It was the first song we recorded in the studio with Steve Albini and today, it’s the exact same song we perform without any changes.”
Alongside working with Albini on the album, additional mixing was handled by Grammy-nominated engineer Mark Needham (The Airborne Toxic Event, Scott Weiland). The end result captures the warmth of the band’s live sound while showcasing their extraordinary alchemy. From Austin, TX, by way of Paris, France, The Wyldz play a distinctive and engaging mix of rock & roll all their own. While drawing inspiration from some of the greatest musical artists of the 1960s and 70s, the band does so with a contemporary flair that feels utterly invigorating. The three musicians first met while studying at the college of contemporary music in Paris, L’École Atla. They had all played with one another in various outfits before uniting as The Wyldz in 2010 with the shared dream of creating a truly world-class rock and roll and the mutual determination to take their music to as many people as possible.
The Wyldz are Mitch Bassoul (vocals and bass), Alex Dhée (guitar), and Oliv Porrini (drums).
