The South Florida Museum Announces a
New Member of the Board of Trustees
(Bradenton, FL) The South Florida Museum’s Board of Trustees held a special election on December 5, 2015 to fill an open seat. Bruce Langsen was unanimously elected. Langsen brings with him more than thirty years of experience at top levels in the airline industry, with a focus on Operations and Marketing. He retired as President of Inventory Locator Services, LLC, a Boeing Inc. company which provided a business-to-business Internet eMarketplace that profitably served the Aviation, Defense and Commercial Marine Industries with customers in 93 countries.
A Lakewood Ranch resident since 2008, Langsen received the 2014 Philanthropy Award from the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau for his work in bringing public school children on educational field trips to downtown Bradenton. He previously served as the Co-chairman of the Board of the West Tennessee Chapter of the March of Dimes and was a participant in Leadership Memphis.
Museum CEO Brynne Anne Besio said, “Bruce’s skills are a great fit for the Museum at this time of growth. The Executive Committee for 2014-2015 is comprised of Bill Blalock, Tom Breiter, Jeffrey L. King, Jeanie Kirkpatrick, Lynn Lineman, Chris Pennewill, Steve Perry, and Chris Romine. The Connect Campaign Committee consists of Chairman William Blalock, Jackie Barron, Tom Breiter, William R. “Bill” Johnston, Jeanie Kirkpatrick and Lynn Lineman.
