Ugly looks quite a bit different from his duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery and finds out being different is not a bad thing. This heart-warming celebration of being different is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit, charm and memorable score. Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, Honk Jr. will elicit equal amounts of laughter and tears.

Gillian Holroyd is a modern-day witch living in New York City’s Greenwich Village. When she encounters charming publisher Shepherd Henderson, she decides to make him hers by casting a love spell. Gillian takes added pleasure in doing so because Henderson is engaged to her old college rival. However, Gillian finds herself actually falling for Shepherd, which poses a problem: She will lose her powers if she falls in love.

The 87th season’s theme is ‘From Screen To Stage: Telling The Stories That Make You…’ As the season was in the planning phase, it was discovered that all the shows had a very interesting common trait – 6 of the 7 shows were films FIRST! All 7 were films at some point, so as a result, The Players has a very ‘cinematic’ season in store. We are excited to produce a cinematic season where there is something for everyone!
For all Broadway Series Productions, please prepare:
  • A Short, one minute monologue
  • A Short, one minute song
  • Come in proper attire, prepared to attend the group dance audition
