A New Definition of F.U.N.
September 2016, Sarasota, FL – The next opportunity to attend a TEDxSarasota full-day event is coming up on October 6th and we’d love for you to join us!!
We’re going on a Technicolor Journey, sharing an experience like no other.
There are lots of events you can attend… but none will bring you this sort of FUN!
It promises to be: F – Fascinating – yes, you will be captivated by our speakers and their Ideas Worth Spreading. No matter your interest, each will share at least One nugget for you mind to play with.
This day is also: U -Unique – there is no other event quite like the space created at a TEDxSarasota event. You truly have to experience it to understand.
We also design it for your: N – Next Level – here’s a great way to expand your mind and opportunities as you collide with our other audience members and our speakers. Each is there to contribute to the entire day’s activities to elevate your mind and growth.
The event takes place on October 6th, from 9:00am–6:00 pm. This year we’ll be at the cozy and comfortable Venice Theater, where we can come together to hear from 10 speakers on various topics, watch 10 TED Talk videos and enjoy the excitement and ideas generated by our audience.
We’ll meet new people, learn new concepts, play a bit, travel to new places in our mind, shed new light on old issues and create a colorful day worth remembering. Change the way you look at your business, and your life.
This is a public event, great for families, friends, students and colleagues to share, so bring a few of your favorite peeps with you!
TEDxSarasota will present 3 sessions, provide breakfast and lunch and invite you to a social ‘party’ after the day of talks wraps up.
Come along as we dive into topics from Autism to Dance to Emotional Intelligence. Find out more on our site at: TEDxSarasota.com.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
About TED
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or fewer) delivered by today’s leading thinkers and doers. Many of these talks are given at TED’s annual conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, and made available, free, on TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan and Daniel Kahneman.
TED’s open and free initiatives for spreading ideas include TED.com, where new TED Talk videos are posted daily; the Open Translation Project, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as well as translations from thousands of volunteers worldwide; the educational initiative TED-Ed; the annual million-dollar TED Prize, which funds exceptional individuals with a “wish,” or idea, to create change in the world; TEDx, which provides licenses to thousands of individuals and groups who host local, self-organized TED-style events around the world; and the TED Fellows program, which selects innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
