The Killers released Sam’s Town in 2006 – a heartfelt love letter to their hometown that was an RIAA platinum hit upon release, spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 andspawned hit singles “When You Were Young” (which was nominated for two Grammy awards) and “Read My Mind.”Produced by Flood (U2, Depeche Mode) and Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails) and accompanied by imagery by photographer Anton Corbijn, who shot the cover of U2’s The Joshua Tree, Sam’s Town found The Killers adding a Springsteen-inspired Americana influence to their modern New Wave sound. Rolling Stone readers recently named Sam’s Town the most underrated album of the last 10 years.
Since the release of Sam’s Town, The Killers have released two studio albums – Day & Age and Battle Born – and a critically acclaimed B-side collection, Sawdust. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more.
The Killers consists of Brandon Flowers (vocals/keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitars), Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums).
