THE INTERNATIONAL IBSEN FESTIVAL 2016: A CELEBRATION OF NORWAY’S GREATEST PLAYWRIGHT
Through exciting performances, discussions, artist encounters, children’s events and more, the Ibsen Festival lets us look at Ibsen, humanity, and society in new and different ways.
From the 8th to the 25th of September the 15th The International Ibsen Festival takes place in Oslo, Norway.
The National Theatre of Norway celebrates our great and world known playwright: The founder of the modern and realistic drama, Henrik Ibsen. The festival includes over 40 Norwegian and international performances, and also a rich side program with panel talks, artist encounters, debates, seminars, children’s events, workshops and much more.
The complete program will be presented during a press conference in Oslo Tuesday June 14th at 11 AM (Norwegian time).
The artistic director of The National Theatre of Norway, Hanne Tømta, will present the program, which includes exciting guest plays from groundbreaking international theatre companies and institutions.
