MURRAY RETURNS TO SCHOOL TO RELIVE THE PAST, ON ABC’S “THE GOLDBERGS”
“Livin’ on a Prayer” – When Murray learns his high school free throw record has been broken, he begrudgingly attends a banquet as the guest of honor. Reliving his glory years, his school spirit is re-energized until he is mocked by the crowd. Elsewhere at home, Barry decides to throw a party where he quickly loses the spotlight and it is up to Erica’s friend Lainey to help him get it back, on “The Goldbergs,” WEDNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. “The Goldbergs” stars Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Bridesmaids”) as Beverly Goldberg, Patton Oswalt (“Ratatouille”) as adult Adam Goldberg, Sean Giambrone as Adam Goldberg, Troy Gentile (“Good Luck Chuck”) as Barry Goldberg, Hayley Orrantia (“The X Factor”) as Erica Goldberg, with George Segal (“Just Shoot Me”) as Pops Solomon and Jeff Garlin (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) as Murray Goldberg.
Guest starring is AJ Michalka as Lainey Lewis, Ginny Gardner as Lexy Bloom; Dustin Ybarra as Nitrous, Keith Pillow as Principal Dover, Joey Luthman as Roger McFadden, Jimmy Bellinger as Gustav, Paul McKinney as Reporter and Jackson Odell as Ari Caldwell.

“The Goldbergs” is executive-produced by Adam F. Goldberg (“Breaking In,” “Fanboys”), Doug Robinson and Seth Gordon, and is from Adam Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, produced by Sony Pictures Television. “The Goldbergs” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with 5.1 channel surround sound.
