Annual “FOE Gives Back to Community” event provides funding to healthcare
SARASOTA, Fla. (June 27th, 2015)
The “FOE Gives Back” Fundraiser hosted by The Fraternal Order of Eagles #2756 Ladies Auxiliary is in its fourth year of partnership with the Foundation and having great success. More than 50 people attended the event. Chapter representatives and national representatives were in attendance. The FOE mission of people helping people was clear as the group is living out its mission of supporting families and communities. The #2756 ladies auxiliary of FOE feel it is important to support research and programs on the local level.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles event took place at the Chapter location on Wilkinson Road. The evening featured home cooked buffet, an informal program, and announcements made by Chapter leaders. Towards the end of the evening donations to many worthwhile Sarasota based charities.
The last 2 years the Foundation has received the largest grants given by this organization. Each year funds are earmarked for Cardiovascular research and education at SMHCS. Alex Quarles, CEO, President & Trustee of Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation remarked “Organizations such as these are vital to the community. We are so very grateful that these ladies have chosen Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation as their community health partner.” Over all FOE #2756 Ladies Auxiliary has given over $12,244 for Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation.
