Thousands Impacted Through Education Outreach Program
It was just 2 years ago that The CAC  launched its Education Outreach Program which has since reached 6,000 students in the area through the circus arts. Our one-of-a-kind STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) based program improves retention rates and test outcomes for area students using unique circus curriculum in the key academic subjects of science and language arts. The program, led by teaching artists Karen Bell and Robin Eurich, has engaged over 20 schools in Sarasota and Manatee Counties and has been endorsed by Florida Principal of the Year Barbara Shirley.

This summer the Education Program takes its Inter-generational Ensemble Performance to nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the community. This distinctive performance brings the energy and joy of Sailor Circus youth to local seniors and is part of the Legacy of Valor partnership with the Patterson Foundation. Giving Challenge Goes Over The Top
The 2014 Giving Challenge on May 6 – May 7 resulted in an astounding $3.1 million dollars benefitting 410 local non-profit organizations in our community and garnering Sarasota County the distinction of being the most generous city of all the communities that participated in the nationwide fundraiser. Circus supporters gave generously to The Circus Arts Conservatory, helping to raise $24,925 to help upgrade and repair the iconic Sailor Circus Arena that serves thousands in our community. The CAC was also able to win an extra $1000 for being one of the first non-profits to have 50 donors donate $50 each. Thank you to everyone who participated and assisted in helping make this year’s campaign a big success!

Congratulations Seniors!
The CAC is so proud of this year’s Sailor Circus Academy graduates. These 10 outstanding young adults have demonstrated exceptional leadership, talent and skill. Three of the graduates are going to continue with circus and go professional and the remainder are college-bound. The entire class was recently honored at a banquet and each senior was awarded an Educational Scholarship for the upcoming year. We wish everyone the best in their future endeavors!
