THE CHORUS OF THE KEYS PLACES 1ST AMONG MID-SIZE CHORUSES IN STATEWIDE COMPETITION.
In a statewide competition of barbershop choruses held in Orlando on April 11, the Sarasota Chorus of the Keys placed first among mid-size choruses (50 singers or fewer) and 3rd overall. The combined Chorus of Jacksonville and Tampa won the competition, and the Miami/Fort Lauderdale chorus placed 2nd. Both Choruses had over 70 men.
“We are very proud of this achievement,” said Tom Hankins, President of the Chorus of the Keys. “We improved dramatically over last year, when we won the Most Improved Chorus award. It shows we are getting better and better.”
