WASHINGTON – The Capital City Showcase returns this Friday, August 12th, at 8:00pm at Atlas Brew Works in Ivy City, located at 2052 West Virginia Ave NE, Ste 102, Washington DC 20002.
The Capital City Showcase is the variety show that features the DMV’s best comedians, musicians, and performing artists. For over five years, the Showcase has included DC’s best artists of all kinds, including stand-up comedians, improv troupes, bands, acoustic singer-songwriters, and hip-hop artists.
August’s Showcase will feature:
COMEDY HEADLINER: Tommy Sinbazo
Tommy has been a staple in the DC and Baltimore comedy scenes for over a decade. He has performed all over the country, including such venues as The Laughing Devil Festival in New York and The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta. He also won Baltimore’s Funniest Comic in 2014.
MUSICAL HEADLINER: Fellowcraft
Fellowcraft is one of the fastest rising bands in the DC scene. After releasing their debut EP in 2015, they released their first full length album, Get Up Young Phoenix, in January of this year. They have played venues all around the DC area, including most recently Rock & Roll Hotel, and will be featuring at the Barracks Row Fall Festival in September.
This fantastic Showcase will also feature comedy from Danny Charnley and Chelsea Shorte, and music from Rachel Levitin.
