LOS ANGELES – August 22, 2016 – THE BIG INTERVIEW returns to AXS TV with nine new episodes as part of its fourth season’s fall cycle, premiering with folk rock giant Neil Young on Tuesday, September 13, at 8pE/5pP. Hosted by Dan Rather, the series boasts exclusive, in-depth discussions with some of the biggest names in entertainment, as the celebrated journalist gets his subjects to open up about their legendary careers and intriguing personal lives as only he can. Past guests who have appeared on THE BIG INTERVIEW include Young’s former bandmates David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash as well as Oscar®-winning actor Benicio Del Toro, award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, and acclaimed music icons Trisha Yearwood, Phil Collins, Big & Rich, Gregg Allman and Sammy Hagar, among others.
The fall lineup is packed with nine more candid conversations, beginning with Young, who opens up about his latest album, Earth, as well as his fight against corporations, and the power they hold in America. He also discusses his innovative high-resolution digital music system, Pono; his childhood bout with polio, and how it shaped his guitar playing, his mental focus, and how he views the world. Rather even asked him his thoughts on Prince’s death, and the role drugs and drug companies played in it and about his legendary—and sometimes tumultuous—stint with the short-lived super group Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young as well as his current backing band Promise of the Real, featuring Willie Nelson’s sons; and much more.
Joining Young this season is an eclectic roster of entertainers featuring rock n’ roll superstar Meat Loaf (9/20); country queen Martina McBride (9/27); multi-talented actress and singer Olivia Newton-John (10/4); and award-winning singer/songwriter Michael Bublé (10/11). Complete dates and additional guests will be announced at a later time.
