| The ASIA / WINTER 2014 Tour Begins in Seoul, South Korea |
Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic are halfway around the world performing on the ten-concert, six-city, three-country ASIA / WINTER 2014 tour, made possible thanks to the generosity of Global Sponsor Credit Suisse. The journey kicked off this week in Seoul, and displayed several ways this Orchestra is a resource for the world: a free concert featuring Philharmonic musicians performing compositions by Korean students — resulting from a collaboration with educators in Seoul — and the first of two concerts in the South Korean capital.
