Business of Art Workshops

Sarasota, FL – The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County announces the 2017/18 Business of Art Workshops, a series of four workshops designed to assist individual artists of all disciplines to build the business and administrative skills necessary to support their career as an artist. The workshops are being held in the first floor conference rooms of the Center for Arts and Humanity, 1226 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34236.
The first workshop, sponsored by Rough & Ready Media, is Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Featured speakers include Michelle Greene from Rough & Ready Media and Susan Burke, Operations Manager of the Arts and Cultural Alliance. Workshop topics include:
Creating Your Presence on the Alliance’s New Website
Formatting Photos for the Web
Ask the Expert – Getting the most out of your website and social media
This workshop is planned around the features of the Arts and Culture Alliance’s new website. A versatile directory of individual artists and the capability for artists to post events on the cultural calendar offers a strong platform to promote individual artists.
