TEXAS RANGERS TO HONOR DEREK JETER PRIOR TO WEDNESDAY’S GAME
Arlington, Texas—The Texas Rangers will honor New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter prior to Wednesday night’s game, his final contest ever in his 20-year career at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The on-field pre-game ceremony will take place at 6:40 p.m. Former Rangers stars Ivan Rodriguez and Michael Young will be among the participants in the ceremony.
Jeter enters tonight’s game with a .333 (105-315) batting average, 10 HR, and 40 RBI in 72 regular season games at Globe Life Park in Arlington. He is batting .310 (9-29) with 2 RBI in seven playoff games here in the 1996, 1998, and 1999 ALDS and the 2010 ALCS.
