Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Humane Society of North Texas
to announce details of joint initiative on Wednesday
Arlington, Texas—The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and the Humane Society of North Texas will hold a media event on WEDNESDAY, MAY 14 at 11:00 a.m. to announce the details of a joint fundraising initiative.
The media event will take place at the Fanatics Pavilion, which is located in the back of Parking Lot B at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The Texas Rangers Foundation is partnering with Merrick Pet Card to produce “Dogs Safe at Home”, a full color 25-card set of photos of Rangers players with canine companions. The photos were taken by Rangers team photographer Kelly Gavin over the last month, and players posed with either their own dogs or dogs that are available for adoption from the Humane Society of North Texas adoption centers.
Proceeds from the sales of the card set will benefit the Humane Society of North Texas. Card sets will be available for sale in early June.
The card set will be revealed during Wednesday’s event and the final photo will be taken at that time of Rangers catcher Geovany Soto and his dog. Also attending will be several members of the Texas Rangers Wives Association, who are helping with the project as well as officials from the Texas Rangers and Humane Society of North Texas, which will also being several dogs who participated in the photo shoots.
All media are welcome to cover Wednesday’s event. The Fanatics Pavilion can be accessed by taking Ballpark Way and continuing south on Randol Mill Road. It is located on the right past the back part of Lot B.
