The following is a statement concerning the Florida Uber driver who allegedly drugged and robbed her passenger, after he agreed to allow her to use his bathroom.
“This is a preview of what Florida consumers will get if state lawmakers pass pending Uber legislation. This Uber driver, arrested for grand theft five years ago, would not have passed a police-conducted fingerprint background check. Yet, the driver passed Uber’s background check and as a result an unsuspecting passenger allowed her access to his home.”
