Shamrock Pub now open daily at noon

With special prices before 3 p.m. and new craft beers on tap for summer

Originally in place to accommodate the 2014 FIFA World Cup schedule, The Shamrock (2257 Ringling Blvd.) in downtown Sarasota is happy to announce that they are now open at noon every day. The Shamrock is known for their excellent craft beer selection, which also continues to expand this summer.

“For someone coming off the golf course in the afternoon looking for a great IPA or a Murphy’s draft, the ‘Rock is now the place!” said Derek Anderson, owner of the Shamrock. “We’re thrilled to offer great craft brews — on tap and in the can — starting even earlier, every day.”

New beers on tap for summer include Bell’s Brewery’s Amber Ale, and their Oarsman Ale, a Berliner Weisse. Both are light, easy-drinking and with their low alcohol content, perfect for summer. The Shamrock also carries flavored syrups to accompany their selection of Berliner Weiss beers.

Shamrock will also offer $2 Narragansett drafts between noon and 3 p.m., through the month of August.

The Shamrock’s rotating selection of more than 100 craft beers is available by the bottle, can or draft, and they even offer specialty sodas and fresh wines via cruvinet. The Shamrock is smoke-free, though the back patio is a comfortable option for smokers, and free parking is always available in the front and back of the bar.

Specials include Beer Maniac Mondays and Craft Draft Happy Hour every day until 8 p.m. as well as a live music from some of the best local, regional and national indie bands on many weekends. The Shamrock will also open early at 11 a.m. daily during the 2014 World Cup and other special events.
