Trends & Innovations in Cancer Care
SARASOTA, FL-The fourth annual Women & Medicine Luncheon will take place on January 15th 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. The topic will be Trends in Oncology Care. New to the event will be a pre luncheon exhibitor showcase that will feature vendors such as: Circuelle Foundation, HealthFit, Ornish Reversal Program at SMH, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sarasota, STAR Program at SMH, and many others who share a passion and in some cases a product that speaks to women’s health.
Co-Chairs of this year’s luncheon are Deb Kabinoff & Charlie Ann Syprett. Back by popular demand the program will once again feature an interactive panel discussion with three SMH Physicians Dr. James Fiorica, Dr. Ken Meredith, and Dr. Alissa Shulman as they discuss trends in cancer care, information about innovative and personalized clinical research trials, and new chemotherapeutic drugs. Guests will have an opportunity to continue the conversation following the panel.
This year’s W & M boasts other exciting news as it will also be the kick off of The Women’s Leadership Council. The objective of the program is to provide educational programs through our local Healthcare Foundation to the community, encouraging them to better understand how advocate for best possible health both theirs and that of their loved ones. Past events have brought together over 400 people, providing an interactive forum for individuals to hear updates on the latest in medical research and treatment as well as have their questions answered by the experts. Our events have highlighted medical issues including cardiac health, brain research, and development and approval of new drugs and treatment modalities.
