‘Say I Do Again’ returns to area beaches for Valentine’s Day

SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County’s popular “Say I Do Again” wedding vow-renewal event returns Feb. 14 to Siesta and Venice beaches.
Sponsored by Sarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, the ‘Say I Do’ event is a non-denomination service performed by local officiates.
The event draws hundreds of couples from around the area, according to Jonathan Poyner, program coordinator for Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, who gather to celebrate love on the most romantic day of the year.
“It’s the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day, sharing a gorgeous sunset on our award-winning beaches with the most special person in your life,” Poyner added.
Both events begin promptly at 6 p.m., but couples are encouraged to arrive as early as 4:30 p.m. to check in and to enjoy music on the beach starting at 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required by Feb. 10. The $10 per couple cost includes a certificate, event gift, flower and light refreshments.
Newly renovated Siesta Beach is located at 948 Beach Road, Siesta Key; and Venice Beach is located at 101 The Esplanade, Venice.
To register for the event, or to learn more information, call the Sarasota County Contact Center at 941-861-5000 or visit www.scgov.net.
