New firefighters, EMTs, paramedics to swear-in Friday

 

SARASOTA COUNTY – Sarasota County Fire Department is having a Swearing-In/Badge-Pinning ceremony Friday, June 20, 3 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 1445 Fourth St. in Sarasota.

 

WHAT: More than 20 new recruits will raise their right hand and swear in to public service.

 

WHEN: Friday, June 20, 3 p.m.

 

WHERE: Fire Station No. 1, 1445 Fourth St. in Sarasota

 

WHY/HOW: These newly hired certified firefighters, emergency medical technicians and paramedics successfully completed seven weeks in orientation training to join the Sarasota County Fire Department in serving the community by saving lives and protecting property

 

INTERVIEWS: The county team’s newest members along with county leaders will be available for interviews on site.
