Sarasota Chalk Festival will be held in Venice, Florida first time this November 10 – 17. The theme of the Chalk festival this year is “Extinct and Endangered Species” highlighted by an amazing three dimensional 420’x 42′ painting which is being featured by at the Venice airport and when finished will be a world record for the largest chalk festival painting in the world. Visitors will be able to have their photo taken in the middle of the painting for a small fee. Since the main part of the festival which is in the city of Venice and is free it is one of the ways to help support this huge endeavor. The artists are from all over the world as well as the USA and are well known in their own countries.
